You’ve seen—and hopefully got a good chuckle from—our recently launched video campaign. And you may be wondering why a healthcare recruitment firm would take this approach in such a serious industry. Well, that is exactly the typecast we aimed to break through this video series.
Healthcare is always evolving and healthcare recruitment firms must as well. Unfortunately, some view our industry as intimidating and stuffy—which can limit the healthcare organizations and candidates that come to search firms for assistance. As more and more Gen X and millennial physicians are being recruited for leadership positions, we knew it was time to appeal to them—and to the organizations recruiting from that demographic. Jordan Search Consultants has always been innovative in how we position ourselves and design our service offerings, and these brand videos are an evolution of that.
The JSC Videos
The idea behind each of these videos was to highlight our differentiators by playing on industry stereotypes. In the first video, “The References”, we exaggerate a common issue that occurs during candidate vetting—inaccurate information from referral sources.

Although this “fake reference” scenario is far-fetched, it drives home the point that not all recruitment firms implement our comprehensive candidate vetting system. But when you use Jordan Search Consultants, you don’t have to worry about making such costly mistakes.
“The Interview” was the second video we released, and it was inspired by a common mistake that organizations often make when trying to win over top candidates.

This video serves as a great reminder that hyperbole doesn’t win candidates—but authentic corporate culture does. At Jordan Search Consultants, we help our clients define their culture and articulate it to the most qualified candidates out there.
Finally, “The Navigator” is a play on the technology-dependent society in which we live and how technological shortcuts aren’t always the answer—especially when it comes to recruitment.

Now, we must give credit where credit is due. This campaign would not have come to life as it did without an incredible cast. We had the pleasure of working with some amazing—and hilarious—entertainers from the St. Louis region.
Comedians Amber Klear and Josh Funneman are well-known for their stand-up comedy and had us all rolling with laughter behind-the-scenes with their improv antics. Chris Sloan is a brilliant musician with a large Southern Illinois following, and just happens be a great comedic actor as well. Entertainer extraordinaire, Charlotte Sumtimes, blew us all away with her voiceover skills and talent. Charlotte is also a producer, host, and performer at some of the top entertainment venues in St. Louis. And finally, Matt Jordan, our Director of Client Services, channeled his past improv experience and showcased his acting abilities as well.
We also extend our gratitude to Shaun Hautly of Boom Reactive for videography and production work, and to Old Hickory Golf Club in St. Peters, MO for letting us film at their gorgeous venue.
