New leadership was tasked with developing an effective recruitment and retention program, while simultaneously addressing the dire staff reduction. JSC worked in partnership to deliver high-quality candidates, so the Director of Physician Recruitment & Retention (DRR) could focus on creating and implementing internal programs. JSC and the DRR worked closely as a team, resulting in the placement of 47 new providers in one year — which more than doubled the size of the medical group. While the industry average placement to interview ratio at the time was 1:4, JSC was able to achieve additional savings in time and expense with a 1:1.5 placement ratio. The combined effort allowed the practices to ramp up quickly.
