Before hiring Jordan Search Consultants, the department relied solely on ancillary staff and the University’s human resources department for all recruitment functions. Outsourcing recruitment required a new way of thinking and operating for the department. Within 20 months, the Department of Neurology had doubled in size (with 11 placements) in accordance with their timing and strategic growth plans. Because there were no additional placement fees for physicians or advanced practitioners, and all sourcing activities were included in Jordan Search Consultants’ monthly retainer, the department saved 40% over traditional recruitment costs. Additionally, because candidates were uniquely vetted before interviews took place, fewer and more qualified candidates were interviewed. This reduced the organization’s interview budget by almost half. Not only were growth objectives achieved, but a centralized, streamlined approach to recruitment was also created.
