Welcome to our newest employee, DJ Larson!

It is with pleasure that we announce the hiring of DJ Larson as Jordan Search Consultants’ Director of Client Development. In this role, DJ is responsible for ensuring the needs of current clients are met and developing new healthcare client relationships.

We had a Q&A session with DJ to help you get to know him a little better. Here are his answers:

Why did you choose a career in recruitment?

Prior to joining Jordan, I worked in executive sales positions at both Covidien Healthcare and Johnson and Johnson. I also had the role of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Lehan Drugs, Inc. and produced more than 100% sales growth for four consecutive years. With this sort of background, the transition to healthcare recruitment simply made sense. I really enjoyed working closely with the physicians and healthcare executives in my previous positions, and the recruitment industry gives me even more opportunity to do so.

Why did you choose JSC?

The company culture and the people I get to work with every day can’t be replicated. That was easy for me to see after the first time I met with Kathy Jordan and her team. It immediately felt like the right fit for me. I love that every employee—no matter their role—is supportive of one another and works together to move forward as a company.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I really enjoy uncovering what makes a client organization unique and translating that into a competitive advantage. From the short time that I have been with the company, I have already had several encounters with clients who are so appreciative of our customized approach and that’s a great feeling.

What are your favorite pastimes?

I love to golf, fish, and go to sporting events.

What’s a fun fact that most don’t know about you?

I share the same hometown with Cindy Crawford—DeKalb, Illinois. I also have a pretty interesting sock collection. I don’t own a single pair of solid-colored socks; they all have unique patterns or fun themes.

How can you best contribute to client retention and JSC growth?

My background in healthcare sales is very helpful in understanding the day-to-day operations of our clients’ organizations and how to best meet their needs. I’m also working with my team to concept and launch additional service lines to more comprehensively serve clients which will ultimately contribute to both growth and retention.
